What a busy year for Radford student and small business woman Rachel Pastirik! “Winner” – 1st Place, Radford University’s Spring Multimedia Festival for web design; “Winner” 2nd place, Radford University’s Fall Multimedia Festival for web design; “Honorable Mention” Radford University for the Outstanding Student Award; and “Recognition” Radford University’s Outstanding Student Organizationfor Whim Internet Magazine.
Pay attention to this leader, team builder, motivator and winner for she is made up of all the key characteristics that make up one gutsy young entrepreneur. Since 1998, the University’s online magazine had a staff of 10 and published 8 weekly articles. Just a few short years later, Rachel Pastirik, successfully built the organization to a team of 40 volunteer staff that produced and published 24 weekly articles. That’s progress.
