Domain Name
The "address" of a particular Web site. Each domain is unique and only one person can own a specific domain name at one time. Domain names have two or more parts separated by dots. For example: netdrafter.com. Popular domain names include .com (commercial), .edu (educational), .net (network operations), .gov (U.S. government), .org (organizational, non-profit, others), .info (informative, others).

Domain Registration
Registration of a domain name enables an individual or organization to use that particular domain name for a specified period of time. Domains are registered in yearly increments from 1 to up to 10 years. Domain names are always registered under the customer's name. While Netdrafter will manage your domain, you always have complete ownership.

Domain Renewal
Domains are leased on an annual basis and need to be renewed once the current payment for the lease expires.

Domain Transfer
The process of changing the party who is listed as the domain name Registrant. It is generally recommended to have your host also manage your domain name.

Email Aliases
Email addresses that forward to other email addresses. For example, our 'info' address forwards to our 'support' address so both accounts can be checked in one place. Having separate addresses helps to organize the content of our incoming email.

Email Autoresponders
An autoresponder automatically responds to anyone that sends email to a specific email address. Autoresponders are typically used for vacation notices and easy dissemination of information.
