In the tech industry, the Northern Virginia area, and increasingly in the business world, employers are offering the ability for workers to telecommute. This virtual means of communication saves money, office space, travel time, and increases employee satisfaction and retention. Being able to telecommute takes a great amount of self motivation from an employee however. An internship at Netdrafter prepares students for this type of work environment as well as provides instruction related directly to the internship. Intern Comments: It has been over a month of working on my internship with Netdrafter and I feel more productive than I have ever felt here at Radford University. So far I have completed 4 projects...two that invloved designing PR campaigns to create awareness, and two that involved implementing them. I am currently working on implementing a third strategy that involves creating a TV commercial. My creativity seems like its truley being tested for the first time. I have been saving all of my work for my portfolio, and look forward to having it for future interviews.
